1. National Law School of India, Bangalore

National Law School of India is located in Bangalore, India. It is a public state university established in 1986. NLSIU is affiliated with the UGC ( University Grants Commission), BCI (Bar Council of India), etc. The National Law School of India accepts CLAT and LSAT entrances for admission. NLSIU Eligibility Criteria

  • Students who want to apply for admission to UG Law courses at NLSIU should have a 12th-grade mark sheet with a passing score of 55% in a relevant course.

  • To get admitted to a PG law course, aspirants must hold a bachelor’s degree in law with a minimum score of 55% from a recognized university.

  • There is no age limit for admission. However, students must be 18 at the time of admission.

  • An entrance examination like CLAT or SLAT is mandatory to qualify for admission.

  • Admission to LLB will be through an all-written admission test, National Law School Admission Test- NALSAT-LLB.

  • Annual fee for most law courses at NLSIU is INR 4,50,000 to INR 5,00,000 per annum.

2. National Law University, Delhi

National Law University, also known as NLUD, is a public law school located in Delhi, India. NLUD was established in 2008. It is affiliated with the University Grants Commission (UGC), Bar Council of India (BCI), and AIU (Association of Indian Universities), and accredited by NAAC (National Assessment and Accreditation Council. NLUD Eligibility Criteria

  • To be eigible fr admission to National Law University of Delhi, applicants have to complete their higher secondary education from a recognized educational institution or board for a bachelor’s degree in law.

  • Those applying for a master’s degree in law should have a bachelor’s degree in law from a reputed university.

  • Aspirants must have scored a minimum of 45% marks in their previously qualified exam.

  • Applicants with SC, ST, and OBC are provided a 5% relaxation.

  • All candidates must sit for the AILET (All India Law Entrance Test) to get selected for admission.

NLUD Fee Structure

  • Fee for the entrance examination at the National Law University is around INR 3,500 for the general categories. 

  • Meanwhile, for reserved categories like SC, ST, and OBC, it is INR 1,500. 

  • One-time admission fee is INR 10,000, and the tuition fee is around INR 1,47,000, which depends on the specialization. 

3. NALSAR University of Law

The NALSAR University of Law, formerly known as the National Academy of Legal Studies and Research. It is a public university established in 1998  and is located in Shamirpet, Telangana, India. NALSAR University of Law Eligibility

  • Those with a higher secondary education mark sheet from a well-reconized educational board with an aggregate of 45% marks are eligible to apply for an undergraduate law course. 

  • To be eligible for a postgraduate law degree, aspirants must hold a bachelor’s degree in law from a reputable university. 

  • To get selected, students must have qualified in an entrance examination of CLAT, LSAT, etc. 

  • Those who belong to a reserved category, such as SC, ST, OBC, are provided an additional relaxation of 5% marks.

NALSAR University of Law Fee Structure

  • Online registration fee is around INR 1000 to 2000, approximately.

  • Tuition fee is between INR 1,50,000 to INR 3,00,000 per annum, which changes according to the courses.

NUJS Kolkata WB National University was established in 1999, and has been granted permanent affiliation by Bar Council of India in July 2005. NUJS is one of the elite national law schools in India, located in Salt Lake City, West Bengal, India. NAAC accredited NUJS with an A+ grade. It offers a 5-year integrated BA/BSC LLB, BA LLB, at graduate level and an LLM program at postgraduate level.

NUJS Kolkata WB National University eligibility requirement

  • For UG admission through CLAT 2025, students who have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination with 45% marks or equivalent (40% for SC/ST ) are eligible to apply.

  • For PG law program, an LLB degree or an equivalent examination with 50% marks or equivalent(45% for SC/ST) is eligible to apply.

  • There is no age limit to appear for CLAT 2025.

NUJS Kolkata WB National University Fee Structure

  • BA LLB total tuition fee is INR 80,000. Total fee for each semester is INR 1,55,700 to INR 1,30,200.

  • B.SC LLB (Hons) tuition fee is INR 1,00,000. Total semester fee is between INR 1,95,700 to INR 1,60,200.

  • LLM tution fee is INR 40,000 semester fee is INR 1,17,000 for 1st semester and INR 91,200 for 2nd semester.

5. National Law Institute University, Bhopal

National Law Institute University, Bhopal (NLIU) was founded in 1997 by Rashtriya Vidhi Sansthan Vishwavidyalaya Adhiniyam under an Act No. 41, which was passed by the Madhya Pradesh State Legislature.

It was recognized by the UGC (University Grants Commission) and the BCI (Bar Council of India). In 2024, it was ranked as the 21st among the law colleges of India by the NIRF.
