1. Indira Gandhi National Open University

IGNOU was established in 1985 by an Act of Parliament. It has been ranked 1st in the open university category by NIRF and accredited with an A++ grade by NAAC. It has a total of 279 programmes in regular, online, open, and distance learning(ODL) mode.  IGNOU offers various UG, PG, diploma, certificate, PG certificate, and diploma programs. Students interested in computing and IT as a career can pursue a Bachelor of Computer Applications from IGNOU. It offers a BCA degree in ODL mode for 3 years. 

IGNOU BCA Eligibility Criteria

Students must have completed 10+2 from any educational board or its equivalent, or pass a diploma in commercial practice or equivalent.

IGNOU BCA Fee

IGNOU charges Students INR 8000 per semester for BCA program. Total fee paid by the students is INR 48000.

2. Gaya College, Bihar

Gaya College was established in 1944. It is located in Gaya, Bihar, India. Gaya College has been affiliated with Magadh University and Bodh Gaya. It has been accredited B grade by NAAC.  Gaya College offers many UG and PG programs in various disciplines. Some of the popular departments include arts, science, commerce, vocational courses, and professional courses such as B.Ed. Students are provided with facilities like classrooms, libraries, laboratories, sports facilities, a hostel, a canteen, an auditorium, Wi-Fi internet facilities, a medical centre, and more. Students must have passed the 12th or equivalent examination from any reputed educational board with a minimum 50% aggregate marks in any stream.

3. Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda

Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda was established in 1949. MSUB has been accredited with an A+ grade with 3.43 CGPA by NAAC. It has also been ranked 90th in the university category and 101st in the overall category by NIRF. MSUB offers 88 UG programs, 121 PG programs, and 68 PhD programs, and consists of 111 departments and 14 faculties. MSUB offers a 3-year Bachelor's of Computer Application program. MSUB BCA Eligibility Criteria

Students are required to pass the 12th with a minimum of 45% from a recognised educational board. Students must have chosen the science stream or the general stream. Selection will be a merit-based entrance exam; chosen applicants are required to appear for a group discussion.

Students pursuing BCA program from Maharaja Sayajirao University will have to pay a total of INR 1.4 L for a 3-year course.

4. Banaras Hindu University

Banaras Hindu University was established in 1916 by the great nationalist leader, Pandit Madan Mohan Malviya. It was consistently ranked as the top institution in India. In the NIRF 2024 rankings, it was ranked 5th among the university category and ranked 11th in the overall category. It has 6 Institutes, 14 Faculties, 144 Departments, 4 Interdisciplinary Centers, a constituent college for women's and 3 constituent schools.
