1. AIIMS, New Delhi

AIIMS was founded in 1956. It is located in Ansari Nagar, New Delhi, India. AIIMS is a public research university that functions autonomously under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare. It has also been declared an institute of national importance. AIIMS, New Delhi offers MBBS for 5 years with 125 seats reserved for indian nationals and 7 seats for foreign nationals, including B.Sc nursing, Bachelor of Optometry, and M.Sc nursing, MD/MS/MDS, M.Ch, DM.

AIIMS, New Delhi Eligibility 

  • Should have attained the age of 17 years as of 31st December of the year of admission. 

  • Applicants should have passed 12th from a reputed educational board with English, physics, chemistry, and biology as subjects. 

  • The minimum required mark is 60% for GEN/OBC and 50% for ST/SC.

  • Compulsory completion of one year of internship.

AIIMS, New Delhi Entrance Exam dates

  • INI CET PG January session (MD/MS/M.CH/DM) Entrance examination is on 9th November 2025, and results will be given on 15th November 2025.

  • The application fee will vary according to category; INR 2000 for general and INR 1600 for ST/SC.

2. Post Graduate Institute of Medical Education and Research, Chandigarh 

PGIMER is located in Madhya Marg, Sector 12, Chandigarh. It is a public medical university, established in 1962. PGIMER has been approved by the National Medical Commission and the Central Council of India. It offers B.Sc nursing along with other specializations at the UG level and MD/MS/DM/M.CH/MPH/M.Sc/MDS/ MHA at the PG level.

PGIMER Eligibility

  • Admission to B.Sc courses will require passing 12th or equivalent from a recognized university with PCB as the main subject.

  • Minimum of 50% aggregate marks in physics, chemistry, mathematics, and biology.

  • For M.Sc admissions, students must have a B.Sc degree in life science, pharmacology, biotechnology, dental(BDS), MBBS, from UGC and govt of India recognized university. 

  • Minimum required of 55% for GEN/OBC and 50% for ST/SC. 

  • Appear for AICEE, which is an MCQ-based entrance test with a minimum 50% score for GEN/OBC and 45% for ST/SC category. 

PGIMER Entrance Exam 

  • Application fee of PGIMER is different as per category; for general it is INR 3500 and INR 2500 for ST/SC.

3. Christian Medical College, Vellore 

CMC Vellore is a prestigious medical college, established in 1900. It is a private college located in Vellore, Tamil Nadu, India. CMC Vellore is recognized by the UGC and is affiliated with the Tamil Nadu Dr. M.G.R. Medical University, Chennai. Christian Medical College offers a 4-year and 6-month MBBS program and a 4-year +1-year junior staff) Nurse B.Sc nursing at UG level. At PG level, it offers MD/ MS and a diploma program.

Christian Medical College, Vellore Eligibility

  • Students should have completed the age of 17 years on or before 31st December 2025.

  • Must have obtained a minimum 50% percentile in the NEET UG 2025 examination.

  • Must have passed subjects like physics, chemistry, biology, and English individually and obtained a 50% mark for GEN and a 40% aggregate for ST/SC in the higher secondary examination conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education.

  • Selection for MBBS program will be based on 3 factors: open, minority network, and CMC Vellore staff quota based on NEET UG 2025 rank.

4. National Institute of Mental Health and Neurosciences

NIMHANS is a world-acclaimed medical institution set up in 1974. It is a deemed university of national importance situated in Bangalore, Karnataka, India. NIMHANS is affiliated with Bangalore University and is approved by UGC. It offers a 4-year B.Sc in nursing along with a 1-year internship. It has several specializations, such as B.Sc. in medical imaging technology, Anesthesia technology, and clinical neurophysiology technology. At PG level, students can pursue a 2-year M.Sc, DM, M.CH, 3-year MD, and a 2-year M.Phil program.

NIMHANS eligibility criteria

  • For UG program, Students need to pass 12th class examination, with physics, chemistry, biology, and English, with a minimum 45% aggregate.

  • Applicants should be medically fit.

  • Age of all applicants should be between 17 and 25 years. There is a 5-year age relaxation for ST/SC applicants, and a 3-year relaxation for OBC category.

  • To be eligible for PG courses in NIMHANS, students must have MBBS degree from a recognized university or another university considered equivalent to NIMHANS/Medical Council of India/National Medical Commission (NMC).

  • Applicants must have a compulsory one-year rotational internship after MBBS program, or its equivalent as recognized by Medical Council of India.

  • Applicants who have MD/MS/DNB/DPM/from a recognized university considered equivalent to NIMHANS and by Medical Council of India may also apply.

NIMHANS entrance exam

  • All entrance exams will be conducted in Bengaluru city only for the July session. Except for INI-CET AND INI-SSET exams, which will be conducted by AIIMS New Delhi.

  • Selection will be based on merit in entrance exam.

  • Admission to MD courses will be through INI-CET.

  • DM program will require qualifying marks of INI-SSET exam.

  • Applicants under unreserved category will have to pay a total fee of INR 53,000 for a 4-year B.SC nursing course. Applicants under ST/SC category will pay a total fee of INR 38,000.

  • Total 3-year B.Sc course fee is INR 25,050.

  • 1-year CCNT course fee is INR 7,950.

  • 1-year DPN/DNN course fee is INR 7,350.

    5. Maulana azad medical college, Delhi 

    MAMC came into existence in the year 1958. It's 122 acres of land is located near Delhi Gate, New Delhi, India. MAMC is affiliated with the univeristy of Delhi and its programs offered are recognized by Medical Council of India. It is a government-run college that is reputed for its top medical excellence. MAMC offers a 5-year, including 1 year internship, MBSS program at undergraduate level with a total intake of 250 students annually. At postgraduate level, MAMC offers an MD/MS program for 3 years with a total of 153 seats.

  • Must have secured a minimum 50% mark (45% SC/ST category) in 10+2 examination from CBSE board.

  • For admission to MD/MS program, students need to have an MBBS degree from any recognized medical college with one year of rotational internship experience.

  • MBBS: ALL india pre--Pre-Medical Test (AIPMT), conducted by CBSE.
