  NIMHANS eligibility criteria

• Age is calculated as of 1.07.25 for the July session. There is a 5-year age relaxation for SC/ST/PwD, and a 3-year relaxation for OBC/SC/ST.

• Admission to medical courses requires, MBBS degree from a recognized university or considered equivalent by NIMHANS and by the Medical Council of India, and the National Medical Commission.

• Applicants must have completed a rotational internship of 1 year after MBBS or its equivalent, recognized by the Medical Council of India.

• Applicant should have permanent registration with with state medical council.

• Those who have MD/MS/DNB/DPM from a university recognized by NIMHANS and medical council of India may apply for the course.

• Admission to MD in psychiatry, DM in neurology, and M.CH in neurosurgery will be through the INICET exam.

• Admission to DM/M.CH in neurosurgery will be through the INI-SS exam.
