1. National Law University
National Law University was inaugurated in 2008. It is a public law school in Dwarka Sector 14, New Delhi, India. National Law University has been consecutively ranked 2nd among law universities in India by the NIRF. UGC has recognised a national law university as a state university. It is affiliated with the Bar Council of India. National Law University offers BA LL.B at UG level and LLM at the PG level. The duration for BA LLB is 5 years, and 1 year for LLM and PhD in law.
Admission to NLU for 2025-26 session is starting soon from August. For more details regarding fees, admissions, and commencement of the classes, check out National Law University's official website. Students' admission will be based on the AILET entrance examination, with expected Closing date of 30th August 2025*. Registration fee is different for each category, between INR 3,500 to INR 1500.
NLU Eligibility Criteria
Pass10+2 examination or equivalent with a minimum of 45% for GEN/OBC and 40% for ST/SC from a recognised educational board for BA LLB admission.
For LLM admission, applicants must produce an LLB degree or equivalent from a recognized university with a minimum of 55% for GEN/OBC and 50% for ST/SC.
NLU Entrance Exam
Students have to appear for the AILET entrance examination for UG and PG admission to Law courses.

2. Jamia Millia Islamia
Jamia Millia Islamia, located in Okhla, New Delhi, is a public central university that came into existence in 1920. It has been accredited by NAAC with an A++ grade. Admission to BA LLB requires 10+2 passed in any discipline with a minimum mark of not less than 50% of the total mark in core subjects and English subject.
For LLM admission, students will need to hold an LLB or equivalent degree with a minimum mark of 50% from any reputed university.
Jamia Millia Islamia Entrance Exam
Jamia Millia Islamia conducts its own JMI BA LLB entrance examination. Which is scheduled for april 26th, 2025.
Students applying for BA LLB and LLM courses will be selected as on the qualification of the JMI law entrance examination, as it does not accept CUET or CLAT scores.

Pass 12th CBSE examination or equivalent with minimum 50% marks in aggregate and English subject for BA LLB and BBA LLB admission.
For LLM admission, students must have an LLB degree from a recognized university with at least 55% marks in aggregate.
GGSIPU Entrance Exam
GGSIPU accepts CLAT scores for admission to law courses like BA LLB/BBA LLB and LLM.
It also accepts CUET score for admission to various courses, including law, but CLAT is the primary national-level test for law programs.

4. Indian Law Institute
Indian Law Institute was started in 1956. ILI is an autonomous institution with the liberty to carry out its objective. It was declared a deemed university in 2004, vide the government of India, Ministry of Human Resource Development. ILI offers a 1-year LLM program comprising 2 semesters, with popular specializations in criminal law, intellectual property rights, constitutional law, human rights law, legal pedagogy, and research. Also, it offers a 1-year PG diploma course in alternative dispute resolution, corporate law and management, cyber law, and intellectual property law. Students can also opt for a PhD in law after an LLM degree.

ILI eligibility criteria
For LLM program, students will require an LLB degree with not least 50% marks, from any univeristy/institution recognized by Bar Council of India.
For 1-year PG diploma courses, a minimum graduate degree from a recognized university, and an additional 5% weightage will be given to law graduates/CA/CMA/CS.
For a PhD in law, those with a 1-year LLM degree with a minimum 55% mark are eligible to apply for admission.
ILI entrance exam
Those students applying for admission to ILI for LLM program will need to clear the CAT entrance exam.

Indian Law Institute's 1-year LLM program total tuition fee is INR 1,38,000 (69,000 per semester). Total payable fee at the time of admsiion is 1,50,000, including university enrollment fee of INR 2000, the security deposit of INR 5000, and Examination fee of INR 5000.
1-year PG diploma course total fee payable at the time of admission is INR 35,000.
