1. National Law School of India University
National Law School of India University was established as the first law university in 1986. It is a public, state-level university located in Bangalore. It was also the first to introduce a 5-year integrated law degree at the UG level. NLSU started under the National Law School of India Act and is affiliated with the Karnataka Legislative Assembly. NLSIU Eligibility Criteria
UG admission for BA LLB and LLB(hons) requires a Pass in 10+2th or equivalent examination with a minimum of 45% for GEN/OBC/PWD and 40% for SC/ST.
Anyone with a bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognised national university with a minimum aggregate mark specified above can opt for LLM at the PG level.

Students must appear for the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) to qualify for the BA.LLB course.

2. National Law University
National Law University, established in 1987, is a state-level university. It is situated in Sector 14, Dwarka, New Delhi. NLU is governed and funded by the state government. It is recognized by the UGC and has been affiliated with the Bar Council of India. In the NIRF 2024 ranking, it was positioned in 2nd place among the top medical universities in India. NLU offers BA LLB (hons) and BBA LLB (hons) at the UG level for 5 years. At the PG level, it offers LL.M, MPP, and diploma programs for a 1/2-year duration.
Admission for the academic year 2025-26 is expected to commence in August 2025. Students desiring admission to various UG and PG programmes can apply for admission once the registration opens. Application fee for the same is INR 3,500 for GEN/OBC/EWS/foreign nationals and INR 1,500 for ST/SC/PwD. Closing date is expected to be 30th August 2025*.
NLU Eligibility Criteria
Students who have passed higher secondary school examination or equivalent examination, securing an aggregate not less than 45% of the total marks for GEN/OBC and 42% for ST/SC, are eligible for BA LLB (hons) admission.
To be eligible for LL.M. admission, students must have an LL.B. or equivalent degree from a recognized university with not less than 50% aggregate marks.
For a PhD degree in law, students must have a master's degree in law or a professional degree equivalent to a master's degree in law, declared by the statutory regulatory body, with at least a 55% mark in aggregate.
NLU Entrance Exam
Selection will be solely based on the marks obtained in the AILET entrance examination.
Students belonging to the GEN/OBC category have to pay an entrance exam fee of INR 3,500, and ST/SC category will have to pay INR 1,500.

3. The West Bengal National University of Juridical Sciences
NUJS was established in 1999, under the WBNUJS Act. It is located in Salt Lake City, Kolkata, West Bengal, India. NUJS is permanently affiliated with the Bar Council of India. NAAC accredited NUJS with an A grade. It is considered one of the best law schools in India. NUJS offers a 5-year integrated BA/B.SC.LLB(hons) program at UG level and master of Laws (LLM) program at PG level. It also offers MPhil, PhD, and a diploma in business law and other programs.

WBNUJS Eligibility Criteria
Applicants who have passed the 10+2th or equivalent examination with a minimum of 45% mark for GEN/OBC and 40% for ST/SC are eligible for admission to UG law courses such as BA LL.B(hons) and B.SC LL.B (hons).
Students will have to submit their examination results of 10+2 and CLAT during admission, failing which the applicants will be declared ineligible for admission to the course they have applied for.
