National Law School of India University
The National Law School of India University was established as the first law university in 1986. It is a public, state-level university located in Bangalore.
It was also the first to introduce a 5-year integrated law degree at the UG level. NLSU started under the National Law School of India Act and is affiliated with the Karnataka Legislative Assembly. Students can opt for any law degree offered by the university, such as 5 5-year BA LLB, 3 3-year LLB(hons), LLM, or PhD(law).

National Law University Eligibility
Students who have passed higher secondary school examination or equivalent examination, securing an aggregate not less than 45% of the total marks for GEN/OBC and 42% for ST/SC, are eligible for BA LLB (hons) admission.
To be eligible for LL.M. admission, students must have an LL.B. or equivalent degree from a recognized university with not less than 50% aggregate marks.
For a PhD degree in law, students must have a master's degree in law or a professional degree equivalent to a master's degree in law, declared by the statutory regulatory body, with at least a 55% mark in aggregate.

Selection will be solely based on the marks obtained in the AILET entrance examination.
