IIT-Bombay eligibility Requirements

• For B.Tech- Applicants must have passed their 10+2 or equivalent with good scores, and students will be required to attend JEE Advanced examination for admission.

• For PG Courses- Candidates with a bachelor's degree (B.E., B.Tech, or equivalent) and first class or 60% (or 55% for SC/ST) are eligible.

• Candidates can be admitted to any of the four specialties (AE1, AE2, AE3, and AE4) if they have a degree in aerospace or aviation and a valid GATE score in any subject.

• Candidates with degrees in other engineering specialties (such as mechanical, civil, electrical, electronic, instrumentation, or related fields) may be admitted to particular aerospace engineering specializations, provided they have a valid GATE score in the subjects listed in the table below: 

• Candidates are excluded from the GATE score requirement if they have two years of relevant work experience.

• Fill out the application form (Personal Information & Declarations) 

• Pay the SMA (Semester Mess Advance)

• Student and Parent Declaration Form (to be submitted to respective departments during Registration).

• For MBA- 

  • Applicants must have a bachelor's degree or equivalent with 60% marks in aggregate or 6 GPA, The bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification obtained by the candidate must entail a minimum of three years of education after completing higher secondary schooling (10+2) or equivalent.

  • Applicants must have passed a CAT test for the admission (After clearing the CAT exam applicants will be called for the interview)

  • Relaxation will be given to the reserved categories.

• For B.Tech.-

  • Students should attend the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main and Advanced) for admission

• For B.Des-

  • Undergraduate Common Entrance Examination for Design (UCEED) for UG design courses

Indian Institute of Science (IISc) was set up in 1909. IISc is a public deemed university situated in Bangalore, Karnataka, India. it is an independent, autonomous institution that is not affiliated with any university; however is approved and recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC). indian institute of Science is one of the top-ranked universities in India. As per the 2025 NIRF ranking, it stood in 2nd position and has received NAAC accreditation with an A++ grade. IISc offers a Bachelor of Science (research) of 4 years, and B.Tech in mathematics & computing. At the PG level, students can choose a program such as MS/M.Tech/MSC/M.Des/M.Mgt/PhD9Integrated PhD).

Students can apply for the B.Tech/M.Tech/B.Sc program at IISc as admissions are open for 2025. Application will close on 6th June, 2025. IISc eligibility criteria

• For B.Sc program, students must have completed 12th class examination or equivalent and must have studied physics, chemistry, and mathematics as core subjects with a minimum of 60% marks.

• To be eligible for B.Tech program, students must have completed class 12th examination with physics, chemistry, and mathematics as main subjects with at least 75% aggregate marks or equivalent in the board examination. ST/SC minimum required aggregate mark is 65%.

• For the PG program, students need to qualify bachelor's or equivalent degree from a recognized university.

  IISc entrance exam

• Selection of students for B.Sc program will be through JEE ADVANCED, IISER aptitude test(IAT).

• For the B.Tech program, selection is based on JEE Advanced 2025 rank.

• For M.DES program, students need to qualify with GATE/CAT or CEED scores.

• M.Tech applicants will be selected based on GATE scores.

IISc fee structure

• Total B.Tech first year fee for GEN/OBC/EWS category is INR 3,00,200 and for SC/ST/.PwD category is INR 1,00,200.

• B.SC program total fee for 1st year for GEN/OBC/EWS category is INR 30,200 and INR 20,200 for SC/ST/PwD category.

• M.Tech (research) 1st year total fee for general category is INR 29,200 and INR 20,200 for reserved category.

• M.Tech/M.Des 1st year general category fee is INR 29,200 and INR 20,200 for ST/SCPwD category.

• M.Mgt 1st year total fee for general category is INR 2,66,500, and INR 96,500.
